FS: 02 Boxster S Chicago

2002 Boxster S in excellent / VG shape.
Clean title, although it was apparently sold at an insurance auction a couple of owners back.
67,000 miles
New back tires
Front tires with lots of tread
New JVC radio
Bose amp & speakers
New remote / key.

Up to date on all maintenance. Serviced by local Porsche specialists.

Convertible top motor not working. Manual operation works just fine.
Back plastic window has a couple of cracks.

asking $9,900

Daughter going to law school - - needs to go to a new home.

Nice color, always liked the Seal Gray. Too bad it needs a new top, that is about $2k to have a shop replace it.

Hi Brian, do you know if the IMS bearing has been serviced at some time in the car’s life?

EDIT: Disregard, I have looked at photos of the accident damage that sent it to auction and I think this is not the car for me. Good luck with the sale, it’s a great price!

For the current market that is a great price. I've seen base models that have higher miles are in rougher condition going for thousands more.
Here's the insurance auction info: https://poctra.com/2002-PORSCHE-BOXSTER-S/id-BbCUVeQKm5jSvzAz/FORT-WORTH-NORTH-TX

If the repairs were done right I wouldn't have any reservation. PPI recommended.

Wow, low mileage and a great price to boot. I haven't seen an S go for this price in a LONG time.

Would be shocked if this didn't sell. Good luck to whoever picks this up!

I don’t buy anything that has been in an airbags deployed accident but that’s more of a personal hangup from past bad experiences. I agree that if fixed well there is nothing to be scared of, and someone will probably be getting a phenomenal deal here!
