2001 Boxster S Roller
Unfortunately during these times I cannot keep this project.
It is a 2001 Arctic Silver Boxster S Hard Top (Hard Top Only) with 101k Miles on the Odometer. No Engine, Headlights, Transmission or Radio, Seats are also kinda bad but the rest of the interior is good. Dash is black and door panels are an off red. Hard Top is OEM and in perfect condition. Wheels are 19x8/19x11 Rodericks in Candy Orange with new Continential DWS06 Tires front and rear. Suspension will be stock. Bumpers and tail lights are from an 04.
I was thinking 3k would be a good asking price. Title is clean and this vehicle has not been in any wrecks. You can text me at 5052618161.

Up. Price is fair. Hard top is worth a good chunk. Wheels and tires are worth another chunk.
Car is gonna sit. It needs life and love.

2001 Boxster S Roller
Thanks, I’ll check it out, this is Brian’s rescue from the grave. Did the suspension get upgraded? All of the control arms, coil overs and such?

Not sure what's going on now lol.
But she'll is still for sale. 2k without Top. Does not have exhaust. Anything engine and transmission related is gone. Was not going to run Porsche engine or drivetrain. no modifications have been done to the 986. Can directly plant a OEM engine and transmission.

So everyone who has been showing interest has fell through.
I understand to some people getting the missing parts to make this a complete p car again will be expensive. Around 6500 for everything at known Porsche salvage yards. But with that in mind, please don't expect I am going to hand over the roller for free or a couple hundred bucks. Those offers are just outrageous and offensive.
Well worth the asking price.

It appears you have been HiJacked against your will, moderaters can fix that.

Sort of wish this thing would sell already. I seriously did not expect 3k would be such an outrageous price.

Likewise. Even absent the top the your roller is worth $2K. I wouldn't sell it for less, and would ignore the tightassess who want it for a grand. GLWS.

As a professional salesman (not the sleazy kind ) I've learned over the years that a thing's value is exactly whatever someone is willing to pay for it.
If it isn't selling in your desired time-frame, then one thing is true; You haven't yet found a buyer who thinks it's worth the ask. So one of two things must happen (or both): You adjust the ask to what the current pool of buyers is willing to pay, OR - you increase the size of the pool of buyers. That means more assertive advertising, get it in front of more people, more often.
For instance: I'm a frequenter of several Boxster FB groups, and I haven't seen this listed on any of those (I know that can be a pain). I haven't seen it in my Craigslist searches. I haven't seen it on Ebay. etc etc etc
FWIW: For me, if it were a '99 or older, I'd be all over it, as I suspect many others might be as well. But an '01 roller has zero value to me. Even at $2k, it's about $1900+shipping too much for me.
Just some food for thought.
