Looks to be a great deal for someone!

NewArt 11-26-2018 05:37 PM

Tell me about the replacement engine.

SteelStroke 11-27-2018 02:03 PM

It was replaced before I bought it. No details. Used Durametric ICluster read to find the mileage (Unless that is not what it is for).

Thanks for the positive note Lapister.

8K and still no takers? Guess this is not the place to sell. Will try Cars.com and other sites.

Must be the season and other factors (less demand for Tip?). $8K looks good to me, but I'm not shopping. GLWS

Sorry steel.... it looks priced- right to me. Were it not black, and not tip, i'd consider it, even though I'm not shopping, as an upgrade from mine.....

Good luck!

8K

Yeah... I wouldn't budge on that price. If you paint it ... coils... etc... include that in the new price. Too many softies letting these cars go for a bargain. Be firm.

It's not just an engine... motor... whatever.

Happy New Year.

This is depressing because your price definitely seems like it should be attracting buyers. Could be like houses with swimming pools (Tip vs Manual) just needs the right buyer.
I have been thinking of selling and thought I could give my 02 w/103k miles away for $8k. Oh dear

vince986 02-21-2019 02:17 PM

Still for sale? PM sent

chrise66 02-26-2019 11:09 AM

Hello SteelStroke,

I was interested in your Boxster. Is it still available? You mentioned that it needs a paint job. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being perfect) how would you rate the paint?
When they did replacement engine was the IMS updated?
Any transmission issue? Slipping ect?

Thanks

SteelStroke 02-26-2019 11:08 PM

Off the Market. Again

Sorry to those interested. But it seems asking 8K is too much for the average buyer here. On the paint job, I give it a 7 out of 10. Most of the chips/dings/scratches are on the front end.

I bought this on Jun 16 for 9.8K(@105800K Miles) discovered the replacement motor only has 18.3K miles on it. Invested 7.9K in repairs and even asking 8K is at a considerable loss. At this point, I will just keep it.

Cheers.

It sure looks like a nice car!
On this forum, I think most of us are probably not in the market for a tip. But I would think that'd fetch your price all day on some other sites?
I assume you've advertised?

**************** average buyers. You invested $7.9... asking $8... and the average ****************stick still complains the price is too high? Hold onto the car. The average buyer is an idiot.

chrise66 02-28-2019 08:27 AM

OK, I totally understand. Well if you change your mind shoot me a PM. I will give you your asking price. Thanks.

jmitro 03-03-2019 03:49 AM

I agree. that's a really good price. With spring coming you should be able to get $9k or more

SteelStroke 03-26-2019 08:09 PM

Change of Heart

The first 6.5K Takes it.

Accept it as is. You will not find a better deal. My priorities have changed. Ignore my past BS.

The only thing I think it needs is a oil change. All else is good.

Jimbo409 03-27-2019 06:57 AM

What happened to chrissie66 he was going to give you the asking price and now you lowered it and still no takers. something is fishy here
