Looks to be a great deal for someone!
|
Tell me about the replacement engine.
|
It was replaced before I bought it. No details. Used Durametric ICluster read to find the mileage (Unless that is not what it is for).
|
Thanks for the positive note Lapister.

:ah:
8K and still no takers? Guess this is not the place to sell. Will try Cars.com and other sites. |
Must be the season and other factors (less demand for Tip?). $8K looks good to me, but I'm not shopping. GLWS

It's not just an engine... motor... whatever. Happy New Year. |
This is depressing because your price definitely seems like it should be attracting buyers. Could be like houses with swimming pools (Tip vs Manual) just needs the right buyer.
I have been thinking of selling and thought I could give my 02 w/103k miles away for $8k. Oh dear |
Still for sale? PM sent

Hello SteelStroke,
I was interested in your Boxster. Is it still available? You mentioned that it needs a paint job. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being perfect) how would you rate the paint? When they did replacement engine was the IMS updated? Any transmission issue? Slipping ect? Thanks |
Off the Market. Again
Sorry to those interested. But it seems asking 8K is too much for the average buyer here. On the paint job, I give it a 7 out of 10. Most of the chips/dings/scratches are on the front end.
I bought this on Jun 16 for 9.8K(@105800K Miles) discovered the replacement motor only has 18.3K miles on it. Invested 7.9K in repairs and even asking 8K is at a considerable loss. At this point, I will just keep it. Cheers. |
It sure looks like a nice car!
On this forum, I think most of us are probably not in the market for a tip. But I would think that'd fetch your price all day on some other sites? I assume you've advertised? Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk |

OK, I totally understand. Well if you change your mind shoot me a PM. I will give you your asking price. Thanks.
|
I agree. that's a really good price. With spring coming you should be able to get $9k or more
|
Change of Heart
The first 6.5K Takes it.
Accept it as is. You will not find a better deal. My priorities have changed. Ignore my past BS. The only thing I think it needs is a oil change. All else is good. |
What happened to chrissie66 he was going to give you the asking price and now you lowered it and still no takers. something is fishy here
|
Not a bad price for a 03 S with a wussamatic
|
PM sent, let me know when you can show it.
|
I’ll take it
I’m interested... text me 240.543.8767

Apologies to those that have responded. Have had a couple of *life* issues in the past couple of weeks.
An angiogram plus elevated BP and heart rate can cause concern. I bought this in Jun of 16 and have invested just over 8K in upkeep/repairs. I love the design and engineering behind this model. It is 16 years old. I will accept no price below 6500 and even at that it is a ****************ing steal. It seems the lower price has brought out the vultures on this forum. FYI, I own this vehicle outright. I am under NO pressure to sell this lovely Porsche anytime soon. |
Interested
Sent a PM with information,
Thanks, Ryan |
CASH ONLY!
You are already getting a steal. |
Not to throw sand in the vaseline , but here is another one for sale here
http://986forum.com/forums/boxsters-cayman-cars-sale-wanted/74945-2003-porsche-boxster.html $6500 OBO. Yes, it has higher mileage, but it does have a lot of work done and per the seller lots of factory options and is a manual, not a Tip |

Sorry Jay, I suspect it didn't occur to you how inappropriate this is.... and now you're likely regretting it. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk |
Have found a serious potential buyer. As of now this vehicle is considered sold for the next 2 weeks (When the buyer can see/inspect in person.)
|
i hope your sale goes through; if you're taking the car off the market, I'd suggest collecting a deposit from the potential buyer
|
She has a very happy new owner. Moderator please delete thread.
