WTB Boxster 986 w High Miles

I am searching for a high mileage 986 Boxster. Color not important and prefer a 986 with 200K+ miles. Contact me via phone, text or email. Thanks.

Hoping to debunk a few myths and write a few articles about living with a high mileage Boxter.

I hope you're successful! When I first read this post I chuckled and thought Good Luck finding one with that kinda mileage....There's gotta be like maybe less than 5 in the entire country! SO yes I'm rooting for you!

edit: Before I get called out on having a negative attitude regarding these cars, I just want to say with all the daily downer threads regarding the IMSB I wonder how these cars sell at all.

I laughed to myself too for the same reason. Not a lot of them out there. Mostly because these cars are weekend toys that don't get used. On a positive note, I only have one boxster in my yard with over 200,000 miles and it was in better shape than other boxsters with a third the mileage. It's all how well the owner took care of them. I have a regular customer who has 300,000 on his and still has the original IMS

I thought most of the cover Was around low mileage cars. I'd far rather have a high mileage maintained one than a low mileage garage queen.

2001 Base with 163K

Hello,
I have a 2001 triple black, manual, two owner with most time spent in southern California. It has been a daily driver from day one. I've already purchased another car and was intending to do a little maintenance before putting it up for sale. But, if you want it now, I could do that too. I'll let it go for $5995 as it sits today. Highly optioned (PSM, full leather, etc. ) Everything works except the windshield washer pump (I have a new one in the trunk). Would drive anywhere today. No warning lights.

I bought it with 130K and have not had to touch much except oil and filter changes,18" wheels and tires, and a new coolant tank. I added theLN engineering full filter adapter and magnetic drain plug.

There are worn suspension bushings, so the ride is both a little harsh and with some noise.

Send me a PM if you are interested.

Thanks,
Joe

Mine has got 144k miles on it. Definitely got it's fair share of little nit-picks I'm working out / needs fixed. Otherwise it's been solid. Good luck on search!

Selling my '99 with 169,000 miles on it. It's a Tip though, not sure if you are interested in that. Selling it cheap, but still don't know if that offsets the shipping fees.
