I have a 2001 Porsche Boxster S with ~87,000 miles for sale for $11,500 OBO. I just bought it this summer, and a couple of circumstances put me in the position of having to sell it already.
A few notable items:
Convertible top was replaced last year (glass rear window)
IMS bearing has been replaced
Xenon headlights
6 speed manual (majority of Boxsters came with 5 speed)
New front tie rods and control arms and recent full alignment (1 month ago)
New front engine mount (1 month ago)
Oil change (~100 miles ago)
Tires and brakes have lots of life left
Car has never been in an accident
The car has zero rust, and underneath looks basically new.
It runs beautifully with no smoke and pulls hard to redline
Clutch feels basically new (I don't have a record for it, but I think it only has a few thousand miles on it)
The bad
Clear coat peeling on both mirrors (good used replacements are $50)
Every few weeks, the center insert on the seat pops out when you get out. It's easy to pop back in, but I can't figure out what's causing it)
The body has a few small dents and a few scratches. It's not perfect.
I just got an engine light for a catalytic converter starting to go bad. It still runs fine, it just means that emissions levels will be higher. I have seen some used ones on forums going for $100, but I haven't been able to get a hold of one yet.
I have a set of 18" OEM Porsche wheels with good condition winter tires that can go with the car for cheap. I bought the wheels/tires thinking this might work as my winter car this year. I don't think the car has ever been on snow. The previous 2 owners only drove it in the summer.
