Well, I got excited when on vacation and I went to Porsche dealers and drove some cars. I ended up buying 2004 911 C4S. I am happy, but sad. Sad to see the Boxster S up for sale.... I put a lot of time into this car. However, happy I finally will own a 911. Honestly, I am not sure it is worth the increase in price of the Boxster, time will tell.
So, back to the Boxster S.
I wanted a Speed Yellow Boxster S, and I found one. Mechanically, it checked out perfect at Porsche dealer, unlike many other cars I looked at. To quote the mechanic in Kentucky.... she runs out reeeeeal good! (In his Kentucky drawl). However, I was not happy with the paint. I wanted perfection. Time to call in some favors at body shops I know. I was able to use a shops facility and paint my car, along with the owners help. I used the highest PPG paints. This car has what would be a $10,000 paint job. I challenge you to find a nicer looking Boxster S! I replaced every nut and bolt related to the body when painting the car (all ordered bolt by bolt from the Porsche dealer). I have new body mouldings for the rear wheels and front bumper.... I just don't have them mounted in this picture. Not sure what you call them.... the black accent pieces....
I had a 4 wheel alignment done at Porsche dealer along with new tires, brake fluid flush and fill, and the original rims re-finished. I also changed the rear rotors. The hats of the front and rear rotors were painted with high-temp paint and look flawless!
I have lots of receipts from the prior owner as well as work I have done.
The car does need a new rear window as it has a crack in it from last Fall when I put the top down on a cold day (dumb!).
