Looking to buy my frst ( and only) Porsche. Wishing to spend under 15000. Lower miles, great condition. Feel free to contact me. I am in Illinois. Appreciate any leads. Plan on taking very good care of it.

Good luck
Make sure you use Fuchs 5w40 and run high octane gas wit no ethanol. And do your changes at 3 or 4 thousand miles, no joke. You will be happy in the long run. There's nothing wrong with a 2.5l boxster, just try to find a really clean one and take care of it and enjoy it. You can find one for 10k not 15

But if you want you could always spend 15k on an S if you can afford the fuel.

Looking...
Thank you for the words of wisdom. The S is very appealing to me. Learning more daily as I pursue searching. Lots of high priced dealer cars. Looking. Looking.
Will take your words to heart. Thanks

Just wait for a while. You are looking to buy a convertible at the worst time of the year (Spring/Summer).
If you can hold off until the weather in your area starts to cool off, rain or snow, you'll save a few thousand bucks.

If I had to do it over again I would go with a 3.2L instead of my 2.7L
Just my 2 cents

+1
If it's going to look like a sports car it ought to perform like one too.

Here is an excellent example that should fit your price range.
2000 Porsche Boxster S
Better to get a car with a rebuilt engine than a low mileage car that will eventually need to have the engine rebuilt.

Id sell my triple black 02 S for 15k
67k miles
LN IMS bearing 1k miles ago
clutch kit, water pump, plugs, drive belt all done last year
Robbins glass window top
recently had it in the Porsche dealer to install a new alarm module and they pointed out a few small problems that I fixed (gas door actuator, some plastic panels under the car)
NHP V1 exhaust and K&N filter
interior looks like new, very very minor bolster wear on the drivers seat (VERY minor)
