As the owner of a 97, I must say you've taken very good care of your boxster and invested a fantastic amount of cash into it with all those repairs/replacement parts and mods.

Selling it for under 12k is a STEAL. Someone is going to drive off with an amazing looking and performing car.

Best of luck selling it. The pix are fine in my opinion!

My intention wasn't to hijack your thread or insult you - just trying to help you sell your car since you said you weren't getting much interest. I've bought and sold a lot of cars over the years and I think I know what it takes to attract interest. Best of luck.

Well so have I John, I've sold over 12 cars so far since i've been able to drive 8 years ago. The only place high res pictures will do any good is a forum that is loaded with non-porsche owners cause the forum wont automatically resize it, As for Craigslist and Autotrader (which im listed in) they resize your large images so its no use, and if someone isnt sporting the t1 fiber optic line, they wont want to wait too long for my over size pictures to load.

Best of luck on your eBay auction, Hey i have a for sale thread on 6speed, maybe you can get more hits if you post the link to your auction in that thread too.

Autotrader and Craigslist resize your pictures but they don't make them grainy like they were taken with a cell phone. There's a big difference to many buyers out there. But if you're not targeting those buyers then you have nothing to worry about.

Photos show the car well. No need to upgrade.
Check you email for my reply. Thanks

-New Adjustible Front Upper Control Arms
-New Adjustible Rear Upper Control Arms

Can you explain this a little better? I have someone interested in the car, but so far, NOBODY he has spoken too can figure out what "new adjustable Upper front control arms" are, and that includes ME

Bottom line: did you install GT3 front arms on all four corners?

Also: WHAT shocks did you use when they where replaced?

Attached below are images of which control arm is replaced with Adjustibles... They mount to the Lower control arm then mount forward to the chasis of the vehicle.
All 4 corners were replaced

The third & forth pictures are of the actual adjustible control arms.

The struts were replaced with OEM Porsche Struts, not Bilsteins or Aftermarkets.

CJ,

the mileage is scaring them away. Can you provide us with compression numbers and maybe a leak down test? I have had multiple people ask me about this car, and the common verbage I hear from them "mileage is high". I know you cant do anything about it, but even the BoxsterSpec guy's shy away from the really high mileage cars unless they can prove the engine was replaced somewhere along the line.

Have you spent ANY time under this engine? Can you get a shot/pic for me? I need to see if it has the cosmoline on it, or it has the later oil pan.

Yup I have lots of time under the car since I did all the work myself on it. Its got the original engine, I verified the engine serial numbers with Porsche and they match up. It wont be till next week for me to get pictures of the under carriage of the car since I have alot of work in the shop right now.

Ill perform a cylindar compression test when i have it up on the lift and post the results here. Since the engine runs smooth even with a solid engine mount im sure the results will be good. Ill post the pic and results on wednesday afternoon.

I have seen his car run and was lucky enough to ride in it. I have to say, he took really good care of that car. I have a 2002 Boxster and I do not think my car run as well as his. He have done many upgrade on the 97' boxster. Such as, the rear glass window and the LI-Tronics headlights like the 2002 to 2003 boxsters.
this is a great buy!!
