My Boxster has nothing but the factory oil cooler on the 3.6 in terms of hardware. I do however, have a hose that feeds the cooler/starter area from the side, and two big fans above the engine as a whole. Oil temps never get much above 230-240 even on 100 degree days. Always read about adding coolers, etc. but I really have no need.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I think you’re right, too many variables and I’m not sure how long I’ll stick with this engine anyways. Good to hear even a 3.6 isn’t having cooling problems. My 911 (which has a 3.6) gets hot on the track on really hot days But it also only has two radiators which makes absolutely no sense to me.
