981 Roll Bar extension - 986 Forum - The Community for Porsche Boxster & Cayman Owners

Looking for a new drive to the track car -- considering a newer Boxster S.

I know the 986 and 987 needed roll bar extensions and BK sells them.

Does the 981 need them? I haven't seen one available.

I don't think it does. I just came from a PCA NER/NNJR HPDE. My instructor had a 2013 981 S which had no rollbar extension and he said it wasn't required. There were also a few other 981s that didn't have anything extra.

How about a 981 Cayman S as an option? I'll have one for sale in a few wks.

Clean carfax, no accidents or paintwork, very clean nose, no bolster wear. Very sharp car. Haven't pinned down a price yet but will be somewhere in the mid-40s.
