a true rollbar (TC Designs SJ)

My (real, i.e. welded in) roll bar is in...

awesome, looks nice, and will (i'm sure) sitffen chassis too.

800$ (but car totally stripped out before delivery to shop (x00's saved?))

now time for some paint...

thanks TC Designs on Mcglinty court in Cambell 408-3777707

shop full of custom cages and suspensions modification (m4 shoe getting serious bracing, miata spec racers everywhere, and some truly neat heavy duty chassis fab, also reparing a racres off'ed chassis...... so BWM, Porsche, Mazda and more...)

ask for Tony....

he mentioned a full boxster spec cage in the 1600$ range (before additions)

p.s. all the red paint now goes black (damn water intrusion, just found a bit o' mold in rocker behind tape under trunk lever group.) but rust is dead under red.

now for a wind-break, spider top (my own setup), maybe a custom clamshell lid, maybe a 914 look top???

Oh, and a damn matching set of seats.

I think there is a single GT3 "alien eyes" seat for sale on RL.

Can you fit the OEM hardtop over the roll bar?

I've got loads of side mounts and adapters left over from when I was experimenting with seat mounting (I ended up with Recaro Profi XLs with BK side mounts and their direct floor mount with integrated sub bar). For a full race car you would want to mount the harnesses directly to the body of the car, but I think I have some GT3 side mounts and Woody may be able to sell you an OEM slider, if the seat you ultimately get doesn't come with the mounting hardware.

bar clearance...

this bar was built to max height to a fiberglass "race" top.
a stock top would need to be gutted and maybe even then the bar might need to be lower...

I really want to sell the Alein eyes" seat I have, it's worth too much. lol
and leather isn't my thing.

Bimarco cam supply simulated leathe covers for their FIA seats that they recommend for open cars where they might get exposed to the elements.

Some inspiration. This is a friend of mine's box. He races it constantly and has no problems with the top flapping around or anything. The sun is brutal down here and he made it so he wouldn't feel like an ant under a magnifying glass.

He would probably answer your questions if you PM him. IMO, his boxster is the most amazing boxster that I've had a chance to see in person. He's done stuff to that car that I haven't seen anyone else do.

Looks like I don't have the picture of how it mounts anymore
