Boxster roof nets

Hey All,

Been some buzz on the Rennlist Spec Boxster board about roof nets for Boxster's with aftermarket tops. PCA now allows roof nets and window nets instead of manditory arm restraints. There is a group of about 8 and counting getting in on orders so far. Thought I would extend the option over here also while I'm getting them made. Just send me an email or PM with shipping information and I'll add you to the list.

The nets are being custom made by Teamtech in 24"x 36" dimension with 14 straps and metal clamps. One previously installed unit is pictured here. Cost is $215 (plus tax if within CA) and $10 shipping.

PCA 2015 Rules
10. Open cars, cabriolets and cars with non‐stock, non‐metal roofs must be equipped with approved arm restraints. This does
not apply to stock roofs on Targas, 914’s, or factory sunroofs. The arm restraint requirement does not apply to Boxsters
equipped with the allowed aftermarket plastic top as long as a custom fabricated roof net, filling the halo area of the roll
cage, is installed. Custom fabrication means that a template of the actual roll cage halo area has been sent to a
manufacturer of SFI or FI A approved webbing goods, and that the product is appropriately constructed and attached to********
the halo bars on all four sides with webbing and metal buckles. The use of plastic tie raps, plastic straps or elastic cords is
not allowed.

Thanks!
Eric

I have sent a few people your way.

Also, last weekend while on the grid at Buttonwillow, the PCA scrut stopped and asked me where my arm restraints were and I said that I had a roof net. He reached in to confirm it and said that he had heard of them and knew they were legal but that this was the first time that he'd ever actually seen one.
