Time for 100k Maintenance

Hi,

My Boxtser S 2001 is about to hit 93k km and feels like it needs some maintenance, I read in the maintenance manual I should change the Air Filter, Gas Filter and Spark Plugs.

Any suggestions as to what brand I should look for, should I get K&N air filter, porsche spark plugs or change anything else?

Thx!

I don't have the service schedule in front of me so I can't recall all that needs to actually be replaced. I suggest you stay stock as you will not see any real performance gain from the other products.

This service is alot of "inspect this and inspect that" You do change the oil and air filter. When you do the spark plugs, you may want to replace your tubes and orings at the same time (although if there is no sign of oil leaks from the plug tubes, it is not truly necessary.

You might want te consider a new serptentine belt based on age. You can inspect the idler pullies (spin and tug on the pulleys looking for play or resistance).

Thanks for the info!

JUst one more question, I was just told my front rotors and pads need changing, my mechanic recommended the following:

.:Cross drilled and slotted brake rotors Xtremestop:.

Any suggestion as to if this brand or if not which other would be recommended?

Change the gear box oil, use only porsche gear oil, flush brake fluid. Flush power steering fluid. Consider doing the water pump as preventative maintenance if the pump has never been changed. Drop the sump plate and inspect to see if there is anything nasty in there, eg plastic or metal.
