If you really want OEM, have you tried the P-dealership in Appleton:

Why in the world would you want a Porsche OEM battery? You like paying 5 - 10 times as much as a regular battery just for the Porsche lettering?

I guess it's your money. Me? I just replaced mine for $50.00 at Sam's Club. Probably the same battery you're buying - it just doesn't say Porsche...

well if your willing to spend money on a battery get the real deal (15 pounds)
I don't know why sports cars are sold with batteries that weigh 4 and 5 times what they should.

$160

Shipping would be more expensive than the dealers

You want the best battery, get an Optima. Lighter, lasts longer, survives more discharges, truely maintenance free.

A table of batteries that are known to work is in this web page that started out about Optima batteries but expended to be all things I've learned about batteries.

Tool Pants,

do you have a link to the renntech.org article? I searched over there and did not find anything to do with the Maxx batteries.
