That's something I've seen done on other cars. Different color wheels or even different wheels altogether.
You only see one side at a time anyway.
I remember one Lexus at the LA Auto Show a few years back had different wheels on each side. When I asked the sponsor of the car whats up with that he said most people don't even notice it because they can never remember what the other side looked like anyway. People expect it to look the same on each side therefore they don't recall.
