I'm in if they have someone who can install it here in Los Angeles. :cool:

Local to SF only, eh? Sounds kind of cool, but I imagine rock chips would make a mess out of the clear coat. I'd rather have an elastic layer that rocks bounce off of than a hard clear coat shell. Sure, it protects the paint but won't it look ugly eventually?

It sounds intriguing though. i have the 3M stuff on mine right now but would entertain the idea of doing this if it really was like OMG great.

They had a sample there which was I guess half protected and half not. The half not protected had chips n scrapes in it and the side that was protected was still shiny with only minimal impact marks. I'm thinking the material is just like 3M but has a flexible clear coat to it? Well, I'm in on the group buy, anyone else? I was trying to find the material myself online.. but then I remembered they told me install time was 8 HOURS! I don't think I want to try installing it by myself!

how mych?

How much for the gt3 film?

ChrisZang 03-01-2007 12:33 PM

so what's the quorum on a group buy?

it seems to me that like many discussions on this (and other boards) the topic kind-a drifted away from the original question.

So back to the original question:
Do we get enough folks together for a group buy?
I am definitely interested, I just would need to get the worst chips in my front taken care of before the clear bar is put on...
Anyone else?

Do they have installers in Massachusetts?

ChrisZang 03-07-2007 10:41 AM

last try

Last try to see if we get a enough people together for a group buy.

So far it seems to me that interested are:

* pinoyfiend
* CJ_Boxster
* 986Roadster
* myself

So if this is enough for a $400 group buy who is in and who is out?

Chris...

Can I get it installed in Columbus Ohio? If so I'm in.

Georg

Sorry, im out, the boxster is getting the works done to it in april, body work and paint. Did I mention my fathers shop has a professional paint department with one of the most talented young body and paint guy that i have ever see in my life! This has got the magic touch.

Guess if this were monster garage, it would be considered a freebie, lucky meeee!!!
