Hi Randall, The same thing happened to me and besides adding thicker screws i also added some good quality silicone ( GOOP OR GE II 100%) around the square shields before inserting them into the bumper and also put some silicone between the 2 spacers and bumper. The important thing to do before adding silicone is to clean with dish washing soap first, and if ever u decide to remove the plate, silicone can easily be pealed off nicely but solid enough to hold the plate in place.

why do they include those screws that do not fit properly? as to leaving the front plate off..here in the burbs..its a $100 ticket each time...

Porsche should get a clue and use a better fastening system. Mine fell off as well. For now I am leaving it off. I really hate the look of it. I know I'll have to put it back on. More and more Calif. cities are ticketing for them, as more and more are using those camera tickets.

I've asked myself that question repeatedly! For all they get so right, there's a few things they got wrong and don't seem to care about fixing.

same i even lost the licence plate. had to buy a new one, now i keep it in my trunk. i tell cops that the bracket is on order and look how cheap the old ones
are. has been working so far. but i will try the fatter screws, when i get my new bumper next week. hopefully i dont lose this one, its personalized!
