I had my previous Boxster serviced at Motorsports Northwest in Boise, ID

511 Americana Blvd
Boise, ID 83702
(208) 345-9444

The owner, "Red", was PCA member of the year a few years back and is a damn cool guy.

I had my current Boxster serviced at ******************************** International (www.i********************************.com) by Andy. He did a great job and I had zero issues on my 3900-mile roadtrip after he replaced my spark plug tube seals.

1876 E Broadway Rd
Tempe, AZ 85282
(480) 317-0777

Looking for Orange County CA area dealer and non-dealer recommendations...
Any places to avoid?....

I am guessing Newport are the big boys in town, but how is their service dept?
and of course, any independents around.
I am in Anaheim, so don't want to go further south than newport if I don't have to.

My buddy has a track prep'd 993 and has been going to them for years. They have an excellent reputation in IL. They charge about 2/3 the labor rate of the dealers & parts are comparable. Where you really save money is time - they don't drag out the billable hours like dealers often will. Here are 3 examples of service I had:

30K Service - Dealer quoted $1349. Eurosport did it for $520! (seriously)
Inner & outer CV Boots - Dealer quoted $1400. Eurosport did it for $505.
F&R Brake pads - Dealer wanted $1200. Eurosport did it for $478.

Also, they cleared a CEL for me and when I offered to pay for 1 hour labor, they said don't worry about it. They work on all Porsche's - 924, 914, 944, 968, 964, 993, 986, 997, etc. They understand that not everybody has a GT3 RS and work to accomodate everybody.

I dont know how they quoted you those prices but I went today to pay them a visit and inquire about them installing my Evo intake and headers. They stated that they "HAVE TO" drop the engine to install the intake (6 to 8 hrs) and 2 to 3 hours on the headers. Personally, I dont think that they were that helpful especially how easy they informed me that they "HAVE TO" drop the engine to install a simple intake i informed them that they were the only Porsche repair place that has made that statement. Every other place states 2 to 3 hours to do the intake them 6 to 8 hours

Recently picked up my 01 Boxter and had it serviced at Midwest Eurosport.

They found a few things that needed attention while recommending one to watch (prepping the area to monitor) and another that could wait. Gave very detailed info and pictures of everything.

Roy walked me around the car when I picked it up and took the time to answer my questions and give an overall appraisal of the general condition. They even scoped the pistons during my CV boot replacement and didn't charge me.

I will definitely be going back here, very happy with the price and quality of the service.

Same question, different location. Suggestions for the Akron, OH area? (Although I could certainly make it down to the Canton address as suggested by "OhioBoxster." It's about a 15 to 30 minute drive, depending on how lucky I'm feeling that day.)

Porsche Body Shop in Los Angeles

I have had very good work done at:

Hascar Auto Body Shop
5253 York Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90042
323-257-9306

Ask for Antoine (aka: Antonio)

They have painted a hardtop, bumperettes, speedster humps and front bumper for me. All very professional quality work and very reasonable.

For the Charlotte/Concord, NC area...

Kim Henson, owner of German Imports, does great work on Porsches, even owns a Boxster himself. Good guy, prices far below the dealerships, and doesn't charge you for what you don't need.

Kannapolis, NC 28083

Small town, and lucky to have a good service facility for my Boxster. They've also done great repairs/service on my Lotus Elise, Ferrari 308, and MB S430.
