I needed to revive this thread to tell of the first day in my boxster...
I flew to Dallas to pick up the queen jewel. On the last 5 miles of my trip to Mandeville, LA, I saw the fashing lights in my rearview. My initial reaction was "no way I can get pulled over for going 75 in a 70." It was not emergency flashers though, it was the crisp white headlights of a 987 flying up on me. Once they get next to me, they slow, honk, and speed off.
I was thrilled that there was so much acknowledgement in the porsche community.
After having it a few months, I notice that I get waves from anything from saturn convertibles to classic mustangs. Around here, if you are on any non-traffic congested street, people usually wave for no reason anyway.
