30k service

what kind of service should I expect?
And cost if i decided to go to a dealership? Non dealership?

TIA,
The maintenance manual that should be with your car will list all scheduled maintenance to be performed. If you do not have this manual, go to www.986FAQ.com where you will find the maint. schedule.

Dealer cost - $1,000, plus/minus.

Independant shop - $750, plus/minus.

This is for what might be termed a "major" maint., including plug change, and brake system flush/refill.

I assume there are multiple dealers to chose from in the Boston area.

My advice is call around, when I did the 30k I was shocked at the quotes I received from different dealers :

Dealer 1 $850
Dealer 2 $1499
Dealer 3 $1140
Dealer 4 $920
Dealer 5 $1000
Dealer 6 $672
Dealer 7 $1200

( Obviously, Dealer 6 got my business )
