Where are all the ...............

COBALT BLUE Boxsters????

I have been searching this forum, and all I see are black, yellow, red, silver, gray, and Lapis/Ocean blues. But who has a COBALT BLUE? Pictures, please.

The reason I am asking is that I have a 2007 Boxster S Cobalt Blue on order. The build date will be in March. I chose the color Cobalt Blue based on the color patch they had at the dealership, but have never seen it on an entire car, so I really don't know what it is going to end up looking like.

I am getting cold feet, since noone has one, it may not be a desireable color. I am a little worried, because this is an expensive car (for me, it is a once in a lifetime thing) that I am ready to rush down to the dealership and see if the color can still be changed to something else.

What do forum viewers think of the wheels on that car? I want to buy some wheels for my summer tires and I can get a chrome set like on this car for $1400. But I can't decide what I think of them. Sometimes I like them, sometimes I'm not sure.

Thoughts?

Personally, I don't like those rims.

I do like them, but I like them better on the 987. They're a little boxy for the 986 design, I think. The 987 has slightly more angular lines than the 986. For far less than $1,400, you could get a set of Carrera Light replicas, which look stellar on the 986. If you are specifically looking for a chrome rim, Wheel Dynamics offers the Carrera Light in chrome.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Oh, I don't know, DJ. I think chrome wheels on that mile deep blue would be hot.

Randall, I think you have a typo here! I hope you mean May 4th not the 14th. Because I have reservations for the 4-6th.

Soetekouw, Cobal Blue is a great color. In 2005 & 2006 it was a $3,000 paint option.

What color is your leather?

Did you get painted Roll Bars? Painted roll bars with this color looks awesome. Makes the a$$-end look the bomb!

Here ya go:

If I could choose, I would pick the blue color. I have silver which is great but you rarely see blue. You are making a great choice. Good luck.

Thanks

Thanks for the help guys,

You've put my mind at ease.

Bmussati,

The leather is stone grey and the roll bar will be painted.
