Re-enable one click windows?

I just had a head unit put in my (new to me) 2001 Boxster... now the windows don't automatically go up or down with one click of the buttons like they used to.

How do you reenable that?

(I do not have an owners manual, so I cannot look it up...)

Hi,

All you need do is run each window manually one complete cycle - all the way UP, then all the way DOWN and back UP. This will restore the one-touch feature. Hope this helps...

Thanks Jim, I thought it might be something like that. They had them all the way down when I drove it away, so I rolled them up.

When I go on lunch, I'll roll them all the way down, then all the way up, and see if it restores the function.

Thanks again!

Now that you have the answer, be sure to get an owners manual. Its amazing what kind of info they put in there

The dealer I got the car from owes me an owners manual. Since the car came from Kalifornia, they say some of the bits don't ship with it... Anyway, I'll give 'em a week or two, then bug them about it. I definitely want one... it's got to have lots of good info in it.

UPdate, the windows work fine. Just got back from lunch, and they work as they should.

Jim,

Thanks for answering his question... I didn't even realize my box was supposed to have one touch windows... Now it does, though!
