I have driven any number of 911Ts. It is, IMHO, the most overpriced car I have ever set foot in.

For $120K I think I would be in a used Ferrari. Several models come to mind.

I've researched the whole used Ferrari thing alot.......for me it's not the 75 or 120 K you drop on the car, but the money you can drop later on. Imagine the horror of a $25,000 valve job on a 355, when you paid $80,000 for the car.

Plus, unless you get something newer like used 360 Modena, those cars aren't too fast. For example, a Testarossa will do 0-60 in just under 6.0 seconds, not stellar.

I love Ferrari's, don't get me wrong, but the expense is ridiculous. Just my thoughts :ah:

I concur. One of my friends is a die-hard Ferrari club member but he just picked up a new Z51 Vette for track day - he told me that break jobs on the F40s run over $30k

^BruceLee! 10 Demerits for you!!
It's a PRVILIGE for you to give Porsche your $120K!!!

Actually I think just about every sports car I have ever driven was over priced. I mean when you look at the big scheme of life and what other things $35K-$120K can buy you which will really transform someone's life and in many instances increase in value rather than spilling out quarters out the tail pipe every time the engine is running. I wish were back in the era when we could just buy a chasis and drivetrain from a builder (Porsche) and then shop around from different guys like Pinin Farina for custom interiors and unique exteriors. If you are going to spend more money than the average citizen of the world will ever earn in a life time on $70K-$100K Porsche at least it should be custom tailored like a fine suit.

As far as the 911TT I think its the most liveable and civilized car with that much power I have ever driven. A GENUINE exotic that can be driven everyday unlike A Ferrari. Although I would never buy one new even if the 911TT payments were far less than 5% of total income that you should limit yourself to when buying a sports car. In the second hand market a 911TT is now commonly found for under $60K and it will continue to fall. That GT1 engine block with a true dry sump makes it one very durable sports car.

Same here. With a little luck and searching, $120k should fetch a nice 2001 360 Spider (or coupe) with under 20k miles on the odo.

Well if I had to buy a car with 120k, i would buy a 1967 Mustang Eleanor Fastback from those boys in TX that make them with race suspension and motor... so beautiful!
