For those that have a short shifter, are you happy you made the change? Big difference going through the gears?

Any downsides to installing a SS system?

Thanks and happy driving

I have a short shifter in my 2000 S. The car came with it so i know nothing else, but the shifts are excellent and quick. It is a little bit hard/stiff, specialy before the car is warm, but it is fine.

I installed one of Ben's ball bearing short shifters and really like it. Seems to make shifts quicker and more precise. In my opinion it's a worthwhile modification.

The exact shifter that I have doesn't appear to be available, but this looks like his current version - https://www.uniwerksdesign.com/product/bens-porsche-996-986-short-shifter/
