What's a tired, broken engine worth?
It finally happened. Oil in the coolant. I've ruled out the oil cooler and my indy mechanic says cracked head is likely. We agreed it didn't make much sense to replace heads on an engine with 300,000+ miles. Low milage used engine on the way.
So what do I do with the old engine? Besides a couple of easy to grab things like the brand new oil cooler, and maybe the MAF sensor, is there anything of value left, or should I just tell my mechanic to scrap it?
