i just still get nightmares since i had to remove that pulley that attaches using the right bolt that attaches through the alternator, so was trying to avoid that

i did manage to do it from above the engine using these angled pliers

i pulled out the U shaped rubber piece from the changeover valve using the pliers
and replaced it with 4mm silicon hose
i always have a spray bottle of rubbing alcohol in my car
sprayed a little on the tip of the rubber hose, so it just slipped onto the nipple of the changeover valve.

worked perfect and no more check engine light
