Getting pops in exhaust at cold start during warm up

So I’m getting some fuel igniting in my exhaust. Hear some pops while it is warming up, but does go away after car is warm. No codes. Did have AOS go out and was replaced. Did it mess up my MAF sensor? I did clean it with MAF sensor cleaner. Should I replace? Thoughts? 2004 Boxster Base 72k miles.

The popping sound you’re hearing could be due to a few things:
1. MAF Sensor: If it’s dirty or failing, it can cause incorrect air-fuel mixture, leading to popping. Even after cleaning, it might need replacing if it’s faulty.
2. AOS Replacement: Double-check if the AOS was installed correctly. A vacuum or air leak from a faulty install can affect the air-fuel mixture.
3. Fuel Injectors/Ignition: Poor fuel injector performance or ignition system issues (spark plugs/coils) can cause unburned fuel to ignite in the exhaust.

Action: Test the MAF with a scan tool, check for any vacuum or exhaust leaks, and inspect the injectors and ignition system. If the issue persists, consider replacing the MAF sensor.

I just ordered the Bosch MAF from Rock Auto. It was the cheapest around and says it has a lifetime warranty. Not sure what that means, but I plan to bring my daily driver boxster to 250k miles+

BOSCH 0280218055 (0280218386), paid $142.79
