Some parts are now being turned down as adapters to fit the steering rack. It did take a while before the final starting point turned up (and it ended up in stainless steel), but progressing finally.
With the outside temperature a bit higher it was time to take the ABS5.7 connector off of the wreck. I was happy I got it apart and initially forgot to write down wire colors / pin positions to cross check against the wiring diagram I have. But once I realized I was still able to note down most of them.
Then I turned my attention to the car. This time I did write down the colors. I only removed two terminals, just to check whether they would fit the ABS5.7 connector. And voila, they do.
That should sort out most of the wires already. I'll now make an overview of what I can transfer across and which final difference remain to be resolved (and how many wire terminals I should order).
Also I have taken the power steering pump connectors apart. Easy once you know how they are put together

. Will order the new wire terminals for these at the same time.
