Is this Steering Rack Noise Normal (video)?

Is this steering rack noise normal? This is the right side of the steering rack. It made the same sound when I hit it before and after disconnecting the inner and outer tie rods. Not a lot of play, but a distinct noise when banged on. I did not hear anything when driving. I am trying to eliminate steering vibration under certain speeds and road conditions.

I bought two used steering racks on eBay. One does not seem to have this sound, but leaks inside the boot (refunded). The other one appears to make this sound, but does not appear to leak. I’m wondering if I should get a remanufactured one from Maval or just keep my current rack and install the new tie rods.

This is the last step in my mega suspension update.
