Re-installing clutch slave cyl

Hi folks,

Making headway today. Got the transmission re-installed all by my lonesome, on my back, with a jack. Once it was lined up, she slipped right in. Same way it came out.
The clutch master came right out as well at that time.
Re-installation is a different story. I'm about 3mm away from getting the bolt lined up, but I can't push the slave cylinder in any further no matter what I do. I thought about opening the bleed valve on that slave but the entire nipple starting unscrewing. I'm thinking since it's an entirely new clutch, with a disk about 1.8mm thicker might have something to do with it. I'm stuck right now.
Any thoughts? Thank you.,

Steve
Los Angeles.

I tried to delete this post but couldn't find the control for that. It can be deleted.

I managed to get the slave back in. Sometimes ya gotta step away from things for a while.

Thank you,
