Sticky clutch switch causing engine to "big down" after gear changes

I read in another post that these clutch switches can be the cause of the engine bogging down after a gear change. Mine bogs down very slightly after a gear change, right after releasing the clutch and accelerating into the next gear.

It looks like there are 2 switches, one I've ziptied to eliminate it while I troubleshoot, the other ( circled in yellow in the picture ) appears to have a plunger on it, which is definitely "sticky" and doesn't open/close smoothly. Could this be my issue, or am I looking at the wrong thing?

Can I tape this plunger closed to test it? Or is there a better method?

Thanks as always for the help!
