Phone mounts for your 986, what do you have?

I'd like a phone mount for the 986 for navigation while driving. I'm new to the 986 and wondering where folks usually mount these and if there are any recommendations for the mount itself?

Many thanks!

I have a homemade version of this mount.

I like how the phone isn't up in your normal line of sight and the mount is very discreet when not in use. The location is fine for occasional phone use while driving. If you plan on using a phone a ton, you may want something that gets the phone up higher into your line of site more.

I have this attached to the drivers side air vent. Not the best solution but it works for me for now.

As Lowski said, the Rennline product is a great solution. It’s a bit pricy but it’s easy to install and is very well made. Make sure you watch their video for installation instructions.

I tried the one from uniwerks first, but I didn’t like the phone being so high up because the screen reflects light in my eyes. It was also wobbly due to my stiff suspension. Next I tried the Rennline one and it is okay, at least doesn’t reflect at eye level. Still wobbles a bit.

Ultimately, I put in a Sony double din to run maps on car play and installed a back camera at the same time. Problem solved. I’ve got maps and it doesn’t bounce around!

I'm using a cheap-o pop-socket vent mount, but am looking forward to getting this head unit so I can leave the phone in my pocket. Great reviews across every site I look and doesn't clash with my plan to delete the lower console.

@JFP in PA - Is that a factory trunk liner in the photo? If yes, is there a part number?

If you get that, I recommend this wireless charger in your dash cubby shelf. Works great and keeps phone charged.
