Window Question

Recently in the cold night, my plastic rear window cracked. Does anybody know if I have to get a whole new top or can they just replace the window, also, would they be able to replace it with a glass window. Im sorry but part three, if anyone has had it done, does it take more than a day in the shop. I'm fearing an expensive time consuming fix.

Thanks in advance for any answers. (It's just not the same driving around with duct tape across your window)

Both can be done, thing is though a whole new top can only be $370 and a new window goes anywhere from $150-200 so might as well get a whole new top.

Yes GAHH makes a retrofit glass top and it goes for around $900-1k.

I have been quoted 4-7 hour labor to put on the new top.

You might want to try clear packaging tape instead.

Good Luck!

Thanks! If I dont get a new top and only get the window replaced, can they make that one glass or will it interfere with the folding or something?

It's not going to be able to fold right.

the glass window is much smaller than the plastic stock window. if you want a glass window, you must replace the entire top. GAHH is likely the best replacement for a glass top. there is much info in this site re: this if you do search.
