Painted intake vents...?

I was thinking that I maybe should try to paint my intake vents red (my Box is a black '98). I wonder if there might be some pictures of a black one with red intakes?

that might look alittle nightrider-ish. like Kits mouth is the vent rather than the grille.

Why not upgrade to the newer intake vents that have the grill bars molded into the housing and painted body color.

painting just the horizontal slats silver might look good, kinda like on an Aston Martin or a BMW M3. there's a guy on ebay that paints stuff arctic silver.
