Unhappy Rear bumper cover.minor cosmetic damage DIY?

Hello, this is to solicit advice or experience regarding how to (or not) repair minor cosmetic damage on the rear "plastic" bumper cover of my 2001 Boxster. This car is is in near new condition except for this dime size sharp cornered indentation and proximate paint cracking on the rear bumper cover . The paint is Arctic Silver Metallic and this may complicate matters. I would also welcome any suggestions for a spray paint source. I have never attempted to repair a non-metallic part and any help is appreciated. I am wondering if this is unsuitable for a DIY repair. Thanks.
