good day everyone.
ive an interesting issue with my 2001 boxster. i went to go fire up the car and noticed that the tender was flashing red. tried to start car and nothing... then i might have done a bonehead move and put a battery booster onto battery and fired up the car in garage.
car fired up . i shut it down..looked at the battery and it was from 2014...grabbed a new battery, installed it up and fired up car..powered down drivers window to air out car from fumes and it went down smoothly and quietly..
now the drivers window will not go back up and the passenger will not go down.
after going thru you tube university..nothing was solving problem..finally bit the bullet and drove it down to local porsche dealer..after 2.5 hour diagnostic, they tell me that "both" window regulators have seized and i need to replace both at a cost of $2600.00..
arghhh!!! i have to call bs on this one considering that the windows inconveniently stopped working right after a boost and battery change..
any words of wisdom or ideas??
sorry for the long story..figured id give you guys as much info as i could...key in door does not work the windows as well btw
