Tiptronic malfunction

2004 2 7 Boxster. .Wasnt ran for 2 + years. Battery tender failed to keep voltage up. Battery replaced. Once around block, everything ok. Week later took out and check engine light on as well as Tiptronic dash indictator flashing 4 and D alternately. Shifts through 4th gear, doesn't seem to go into 5th. Other then the lack of 5th gear, seems to run ok.

Any ideas?

Get the codes read by a shop that has a PIWIS, PST2 or Durametric diagnostic. Dash messages are nice but codes are definitive. And because the car is a TIP, you need Porsche specific capability in the diagnosis tool.
