IPD Plenum

I installed a used IPD Plenum and Throttle body over the winter. Installed, drove 15/20 minutes and put away for a couple months. I had the Soul Bypass system installed yesterday. I leave shop and 15 miles later a check engine light goes on. I bring back to shop and mechanic added a hose to one of the rubber boots connecting the plenum to intakes. The stock boots didn’t have a hole on them, the IPD had a place where a hose could attach (though I thought was closed). Any idea what that hose would connect to. He showed me a picture of the hose he added. Maybe 2” long. Maybe he used it to plug the hole.
Thanks.

If I remember correctly, the IPD plenum has a plug for one of the hoses.. (only one connects to the plenum)
