I wonder if you can heat it up some and straighten it

A very very bad idea especially if it is other then steel such as say aluminum.
You will change the temper and other strength qualities of the part.
That could cause an unsafe condition such as snapping in two while driving.

Well Stoddard disappointed me, I call them before I placed my order online to ensure my parts would be Genuine Porsche and when they were delivered I got Meyle parts. I even called them after the parts were delivered and Devon (sales guy) stated he goes by the information in the computer., smh.
