Well, it does appear to have a nice smile built into the front grille! I'd be grinning if I were driving it, that's for sure.
I do see the Cayman similarities, which I did not pick up on when I read winding road a couple of days ago. Good eye!

I never thought a Cayman crossed with an Elise could look like a Ferrari, but there it is.

wow that is very nice. it does look like a cayman.
i also think porsche copied the ferrari front hoods in the new 997 and boxsters. our 986 hoods are squared and now round exactly like a ferrari front hood.

Why would ferrari put a front mounted engine in this car it doesn't make any sense,
and the similarities with the cayman i agree.
Maybe they wouldn't want it to out perform the 430 or is it another PORSCHE IDEA.

Hi,
I don't see a similarity at all! 4 wheels maybe. It's a revival of the Dino which was a mid-engined, 6-cyl. Coupe, it never bore the Ferarri name. I think it's great that they're doing this. It's not a copy or clone of the Cayman at all.
You'll never confuse a Ferarri with a Porsche. Anyone who does just doesn't know d*ck about cars...

Jim is right, Ferraris are red, Porsches are silver.
Now, what would be funny is comparing Italian and German women!
No sexist rants please!

It does look similar to the Cayman. I like it! That's a schweet car. In about 5 years I'll be looking for a used one.

Before I die, I want to own a Ferrari and a Ducati Monster.
Not at the same time, however, as I would need something to drive/ride and neither would be likely to be running all the time! And all of that shiny red paint might blind me!

Cayman resemblance, indeed. It's the similarity to the 9X7 headlights that emphasizes it for me. I also see some similarities in the interior.
Unfortunately, the 987 doesn't look much like this Ferrari in the top-down pic.

I know what they have in common: They both want to join me in a menage-a-tois for some international fun.
