Painted Bumperettes Question
I am looking for long term feedback on painted bumperettes. Anyone had trouble with cracking or fading? How long have you had them on your car?
Thanks much,

I've had mine since May 2005 from Bumperplugs and they still look terrific. In fact, I wish the OE paint on the car looked as good as the bumperettes. My guess is the OE car paint didn't look as good when new as the paint on the bumperettes.

one year ago, and they look amazing still. they don't really fade or crack. unless you hit something.
i think you are concerned that they are kinda rubbery/plastic so painting them will just flake or crak eventually. not the case, i think they are very durable, and paint will last a long time.
do it, one of the best upgrades i've done.

Painted bumperettes are the way to go. Makes the rear look much cleaner and refined, imo.

Painted Bumperettes
Thanks for the feedback guys. I now know that it is something I want to do. I also know from searching on the forum that I can get them done for no more than $285.
However, I have left over paint from my hardtop so I will check with the body shop to see what they will charge since I have paint that already matches.
Other comments or suggestions are more than welcome.

I swaped my 2000 front + rear bumpers for the updated 2003 look. I was having the shop paint my bumperettes as well - but was surprised when I came to pick up the car they said they didn't even put the bumperettes back on. I was a little nervous... But, turns out they got the euro bumper from the Porsche dealership, and it didnt have any of the holes in it for the bumperettes ... I went to look at the car a little worried - but wow, I was in love! The car looks amazing without the bumperettes all together. Sure, I have to do a little more worrying without the extra protection, etc. but... It looks amazing!
I'll post pics just as soon as I get my new GAHH top ;-)
