Space-time (including the objects in it) deforms (or "squishes") as the Boxster approaches the speed of light. Sure it isn't an illusion... kind of like when you shake a pencil/pen up and down in front of your face???
I think you may be right with the "General Theory of Relativity", but I'm too afraid to go that fast... Not to mention it adds 10 lbs to my face.
