Airbag marked as blown... never blew?

After a successful attempt to repair my passenger window - I had finally put everything back together - my window went up and down - I disconnected my battery to reassemble my door card onto the car, after reassembly a code pulled on my dash, I got both the airbag failure and intermittent failure pop up, as well as an odd knocking noise from the door which I had just reassembled. However, I had not touched the airbag assembly whatsoever. My first instinct was to clear the code - as the airbag from what I could see did not actually blow and there was no true "failure", however after trying using a AUTEL device, all the lights killed on my dash and when restarted - the code still came up as well as the knocking noise continuing. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? If so what did you do to fix it?

First things first - look at the last thing you touched. Pull the door card back off, and figure out what’s making the noise you describe. While you’re at it, disconnect and reconnect the airbag, then reconnect all the cables to the door card and see if your problems are resolved.
