Axle grease leaking

Greetings,

I recently purchased a 2002 Boxster S and noticed grease around the right rear CV joint, and also sprayed around the inside of the wheel. I cleaned it up but a few weeks later it was back. Boots and clamps seem ok, and it seems to be coming from the metal ring shown in the photo. Any ideas what’s causing this and how to repair? Thanks in advance.
