Need help in Oregon

Hi Everyone,

My top mechanism has stopped functioning. It's currently in the open position, and won't move.

Two days ago I noticed a clicking sound coming from the top mechanism when it opened or closed. Yesterday, that was getting worse and I tried to lubricate the clamshell rails with white lithium. Worked it back and forth, but it did not help.

My indie shop in Eugene doesn't work on tops anymore, and they don't know anybody locally who does. The nearest dealer is in Portland.

So, does anyone here have a suggestion?

TIA,
Finn
