Hi Everyone,

My top mechanism has stopped functioning. It's currently in the open position, and won't move.

Two days ago I noticed a clicking sound coming from the top mechanism when it opened or closed. Yesterday, that was getting worse and I tried to lubricate the clamshell rails with white lithium. Worked it back and forth, but it did not help.

My indie shop in Eugene doesn't work on tops anymore, and they don't know anybody locally who does. The nearest dealer is in Portland.

So, does anyone here have a suggestion?

check your owners manual
 
There is a process tp get the top up. It is not real easy but it works, I had to do it myself in the last week.
