Do I need the original ECU..?

Hello..all,..I bought a 2001 2.7 with pretty low miles 38 K, As a back up engine for my 2002 2.7 Boxster with 95 K, But, they never sent the ECU,..Iam hoping to use my original one, It should work with no Issue's right ? I believe they still have the original one .Hoping anyway. Thanks, Frank

Use the ECU that came with the car. It should be good for 2000 through 2002. No need to get a different one for the replacement engine.
