Won’t crank
2002 Porsche Boxster 986. Started getting a fuel smell through the vents. The next day it will not start. I have a ignition switch coming and it will be replaced end of the week. I was going to check the fuse in the immobilizer, check the relay, check voltage going to the fuel pump before I order one. Any other ideas I’m missing. The fuel smell from the vents is while in motion not a smell just from sitting around.

-Incorrect MAF signal -fuel pressure too high -injector leaking -EVAP cannister purge valve stuck open |
fuel smell through the vents would suggest the fourth - evap cannister ... ?

apologies yes, i was thinking the purge valve lived up front with the charcoal cannister, etc.

I will have to look those up. How do you check them. And would it make it not crank as well? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
