Trans Mount top bolt

Does anyone have tips on removing the top bolt of the transmission mount on a 2000s with a 6 speed? I can’t even see the bolt. Thanks!

I always used several 6" extensions and a universal joint, all attached to my impact. It may have been 3 extensions, as I recall.

I was recently on that neighborhood and you need a 13mm combination wrench (and three hinged arm..) to hold the top of the bolt while removing the nut from the bottom. Thereafter you can remove the bolt from the top.

Yup. I was in that neighborhood. Lol.

Gilles replaced my mounts, be it a Tiptronic, and without removing the brackets.

Hey, you did half of the job! Specially during the hard part of removing/installing the entire exhaust in 'one piece' as this would be a difficult to do it by yourself, considering the tight area.

PS: not sure about your statement 'patience of steel' as after having visitors for two weeks I am getting ready to call it quits and hide underneath the car..
